CUPPA (2018)

CUPPA is a sleek and minimal approach to stackable chinaware.

CUPPA is inspired by the stackable china collection for the airline company LUFTHANSA designed by the german designer Hans ROERICHT in 1962. To make porcelain perfectly stackable, you have to pay attention to those little details, and the curves have to be precise so that the stacking tower is still stable above a certain height. I wanted my first collection of chinaware to be a contemporary take on the collection of ROERICHT.

This project was entirely made by hand using a rolling pin and a knife only.
